Using the terminal

Find your way around#

• Use the market picker to search the catalog, compare markets and manage favorites.
• Use the chart for candles, volume, EMA indicators and drawing tools.
• Switch the depth panel between its book/tape views and available Tab, Stacked or Large layouts.
• Use the order column for side, size, margin, leverage, protection and account risk.
• Review positions, open orders, trade history, order history and funding history in the activity ledger.

On mobile, the panel dock switches between chart, book, trade and activity. Appearance can be changed between light and dark. The same account state is used across these views.

Chart drawings#

The current chart uses TradingView Lightweight Charts with Iceberg’s own drawing overlay. Groups include lines and channels, Fibonacci/Gann tools, basic patterns, shapes, brush, text, icons, long/short risk-reward drawings, measure and region zoom.

Select a drawing to edit its handles or move the object. Use its visible delete action, Delete or Backspace to remove it. Undo/redo, remove all, locking, show/hide and OHLC magnet snapping are available. Escape cancels an unfinished tool. Risk/reward drawings are display tools and do not place orders.

Drawings are saved per market in this browser. They are not a server-synced account record. The current toolbar does not claim TradingView Advanced Charts licensing or complete parity with Hyperliquid’s drawing collection.

Live prices and connection quality#

The terminal shares a public Hyperliquid WebSocket for mids, selected-market context, BBO, L2 depth, trades and candles. Open-position marks follow the same connection. A market switch rejects late messages for the previous market, and reconnects invalidate stale quotes.

The displayed ping is measured from WebSocket ping/pong. It is a round-trip measurement, not order execution latency. A connected socket alone does not make every topic fresh.

Fresh marks can update displayed P&L, equity and risk between confirmed server snapshots. These are display projections. The server owns actual fills, collateral, cash, funding and suspensions. Hidden tabs pause the browser feed and account polling while server risk work continues.

Inspect what actually happened#

Trade history describes fills, including average execution price and fees. Order history records submitted intentions and their outcome; an open or cancelled intention is not automatically a trade. Funding has its own hourly ledger. Use CSV exports when you need the recorded data outside the app.
